Does being transparent in business feel scary AF?
You’re a heart-centered business owner. Integrity is your middle name. So, what gives when it comes to speaking your truth?
My guess: transparency might be the best business policy, but that doesn’t mean it always feels warm, cozy, and comfortable to put into action.
If you’re heart-centered, there’s a good chance you’ve spent a lot of your life care-taking or people pleasing (or both!). {Raising both hands myself.}
If you’re a woman (though, I see this with my male clients as well), society teaches you you’re supposed to be nice. And, the way society often teaches being ’nice’?
🤫 being quiet.
😶 shrinking and only taking up a teeny, tiny amount of space.
😁 saying the ‘right’, ‘nice’, ‘acceptable’ thing.
🤐 being agreeable.
🤓 keeping any different opinions to yourself.
Society teaches if you play nice, you’ll be accepted and safe. You will be liked.
But, what if that’s BS? And, what if the complete opposite is true if you want to build, grow, and scale a profitable business you love (and a life you’re obsessed with to go along with it)?
Transparently: the more you lean into unapologetically speaking your truth, the more you start to heal those patterns and stories.
The more you show up transparently in your work, the more you start to see that you’re okay when you speak up and take up space with your truth. The world doesn’t crumble. You’re not burned at the stake. You’re OK.
And, the safer you feel showing up unapologetically, transparently YOU, the more you can really affect change.
Transparency is a superpower (it’s one of mine) that changes the game in business. It’s business and life-changing, and it’s up for grabs.
When you show up transparently, you build trust and create true connection with people. You create the kinds of connections that are magical - the kind of connections that create clients and cash money.
It creates space for powerful, transformative sales calls.
It allows you to serve your clients on a deeper level.
It allows you to show up as a thought leader and create positive impact.
It allows you to manage a team like a boss.
When it comes to your personal life, oh, where do I start?! The more you’re willing to show up and be transparent, the better your relationships are, the easier it is to communicate, understand others, feel heard and understood, and hold those all-important boundaries.
Being transparent feels like an act of self-love and self-trust.
And, when you’re willing to be transparent, you’ve got nothing to hide. That frees up so much brain space, simplifies all the things, and makes you feel unstoppable...which ya know, brings us right back to those business results.
What are your opportunities for leaning into transparency and speaking your truth?
What might fall away or open up if you do?
How much of everything you want (like more income, creating a bigger impact, healthier and happier relationships, and enjoying the damn ride) is on the other side of being transparent?
Wishing you your version of success.
