When I came into the online space almost nine years ago and signed up for a year-long coach training program, I was taught the ascension model.
Again, when I started my business seven-and-a-half years ago, the path laid ahead at the time was basically to hurry up and scale yourself out of 1:1.
Now, don’t get me wrong - this approach has its merits. It offers scalability, effectiveness, and has proven successful and profitable for many of my clients.
But, here’s the thing: that’s not why I started my business. It’s not what I wanted, and many of the strategies I was being taught or saw went against what I fundamentally believe works best in business.
It’s fun to share this today, because it worked out I’ve successfully scaled a 1:1 model to multi-six-figures, with a hefty profit margin, and have done it my way. But, it’s always easier in hindsight than when you’re in the thick of it being told left and right that your way is wrong and won’t work.
That’s why I went live to spill the tea on some of the biggest ways I was told I was doing it ‘wrong’ that ended up contributing to success on my terms.
My intention for this conversation is to be one part permission-giving, one part evidence that you’re likely doing more things right than you realize, and one part tried-and-true strategies you can leverage for your own big results, your way.
I’m diving into:
The number one approach that has exponentially supported the growth and scalability of my business, which remains a cornerstone of my long-term success and sustainability.
What I did ‘wrong’ that turned out to be SO right that I thank past Kim for (this has nothing to do with having a 1:1 model or not!) that you can borrow from for your own big results.
The timeless business principles that *always* work to help you book and keep the kind of clients who renew and turn into raving fans who love to sing your praises.
Wishing you your version of success!
XO, Kim
