I recently opened my FB feed to an anonymous post from someone complaining about a group program they had paid for.
They shared they’d been showing up for two months, three times a week, and they were mad because they expected to have clients and make back some of their investment by now.
There were over a hundred comments that ranged from ‘me toos’, hating on crappy programs, or fear of investing in support of any kind for this very reason…
To over 50 comments with unsolicited advice suggesting what this program missed, what this person could or should try instead, opt-ins, free sessions, mindset practices, strategies, questions to explore.
I don’t know this person, their post was anonymous after all, and I have no idea if the program they took was brilliant or fluff.
I do know and understand business and success, and I’ve supported countless clients over the past seven years who have felt or been in a similar spot as the person in this post expressed. I know how quickly and easily this scenario and misguided expectations can take smart entrepreneurs further and further away from the success, clients, and income they’re often closer to than they realize.
I love our industry and the online space, and unfortunately, expectations and the ability to crowdsource commiseration, advice, and validation for frustrations from people who know nothing about you or your business is also one of the challenges I see in our space that can often do more to sabotage than support - I mean, I can’t even imagine how confusing the 50+ different pieces of advice must be, and I can imagine how temporarily soothing it must feel to be vindicated and have so much to chew on.
That’s why I went live to get real about what goes into highly-converting strategies and the time it takes to get results in business.
I'M BREAKING DOWN:
exactly what goes into a highly-converting strategy - whether you’re a brand new business or making $2million+, the timeline you can expect before seeing results, and why no one wants to tell you this when you buy their program (no, it’s not because they’re lying or shady).
how to stay out of the finger-pointing, victim mindset that can set you back years in business, and what to focus on instead when you’re not seeing the traction you want from a program you’ve taken or a strategy you’re implementing.
how to know if it’s ‘not working’ or if there’s an opportunity for you to lean in and refine your strategy for faster and bigger results.
the truth about customer journeys and what I’m noticing in our online space, and why this matters if you want to book out and fill programs with right-fit clients.
Wishing you your version of success!
XO, Kim
