I’m a recovering overthinker, people pleaser 💁🏼‍♀️, and (since we’re listing things) perfectionist.

In the early years of my business, that meant everything felt heavy AF because every post, sales interaction, and client session came with a side of mental gymnastics.

I’d replay sessions in my head, analyze every word, worry about offending someone with my content (I even stressed about pissing off FB group owners when I shared my stuff), think I was being annoying or “salesy” every time I made an offer, and carry way too much emotional weight trying to manage how everyone else felt.

I’ve talked before about the power of knowing the difference between “caring” and “carrying,” and how learning to hold space without taking everything on was game-changing for me.

But there’s another shift I haven’t shared as much and integrating this one has been just as powerful.

It’s helped me take up more space in my content and marketing without second-guessing or stressing over trolls and their comments, own my work and sell unapologetically without taking on people’s projections, and hold a 20–25 client roster for 6.5 years without burning out.

And, it’s also one of the biggest things I see holding people back from scaling, growing bigger audiences, and making consistent sales especially if you’re someone who cares deeply.
