I recently read a post that said talking about money in marketing was ‘out’ for 2023.
This was followed by a question from a past client I just answered on last week’s podcast episode asking how I handle people judging me or getting triggered when I talk about my revenue and business success.
This is also a concern many of my clients often struggle with: ‘Should you talk about money and your results online?’
Because while money itself is a neutral resource, our thoughts and emotions about cash, scrilla, dough, benjamins, scratch, and dollar dollar bills are anything but neutral. Money is one of the most charged topics and conversations in and out of business, marketing, and sales.
That’s why I went live to answer ‘Should you talk about money in your marketing?’ once and for all.
While I’ll never tell you what you should or shouldn’t do and won’t pretend to assume to know what’s right for you and your business, I will speak directly to:
How I think about talking about money in marketing as a booked out, multi-six-figure coach supporting clients up to the 2 million revenue mark, what I think is actually ‘out’ in marketing, and why this is a relevant conversation for every business owner.
The sneaky way I see smart business owners make it harder than it needs to be to build an audience ready to buy.
What you need to know to be able to think like a CEO and discern what will best support your ability to start and nurture relationships online that turn into clients who want all your offers and are willing to pay in advance, or enroll before cart opens, and jump on waitlists.
Why I see this as an addition (instead of subtraction or omission) conversation - and the two levers you can add to your marketing to change the context and how it connects with potential clients.
The kinds of businesses that don’t benefit from talking about money and what to talk about instead that compels people to lean in, listen, and want to work with you.

Wishing you your version of success!
