Did you know I was put on hold for TWELVE dang commercials before booking one?
This means, I was one of the final choices and asked to block off the shoot dates, and twelve times, back-to-back, I was released because the part went to someone else.
Not because I wasn’t good enough. Because I was good enough, and someone else fit the script and brief more accurately.
Thirteen was my lucky number, and those twelve no’s got me to a yes and a job that was a blast to shoot and paid me really well…plus residual checks for months and months after.
But, imagine if I had taken those no’s personally and made them mean I sucked, and instead of continuing to show up, put auditioning on pause while I worked on “getting better”?
Or if I had decided those rejections were a sign I wasn’t cut out for acting and quit?
Or got pissy and blamed my agent for putting me up for the wrong jobs and fired them?
I know one thing, I definitely wouldn’t be able to tell you how those no’s paved the path to a yes and many more that followed.
Everyone wants the ‘yes’ - to book the client, make the sale, sell out the launch, deposit the money. And, duh, of course you and I want to do that without stumbling blocks, waiting periods, or rejection.
But, what if, understanding how to approach and leverage rejection was the key to faster success, 90% sales calls closing rates, and $100k launches?
That’s why I went live to shine a light on the most overlooked sales skill and the approach that speeds up results.
I’m diving into:
the counterintuitive approach I coach my clients to take that gives you more data points, market research, and cuts down your timeline for getting booked out.
one of the biggest ‘secrets’ to business success that every entrepreneur you look up to will tell you and any sneaky marketing guru will fail to admit.
a reframe and perspective on rejection and how to mine this normal part of sales and business for your first or next six or seven-figures.
why only hearing ‘hell yes’ isn’t always as positive as it seems and the hidden challenges that come when you never hear a ‘no’.
Wishing you your version of success!
