Don’t hate me for this, but I don’t actually think it’s hard to market and post content.
Hear me out. Because I do think there are lots of reasons it feels hard, and that getting results is harder than it used to be.
But practically speaking, in many ways, we’ve never had it easier as business owners.
There are so many platforms where, for the cost of our sweat equity and time, we can get visible, grow audiences, and market and sell for free.
Most of us can create from our phones in the comfort of our homes, cars, and even our beds (I wouldn’t be surprised if some people are making reels from their porcelain thrones).
While I think most AI content is doing more harm than good, it’s also making it easier than ever for people to crank out content.
At the same time, I hear from clients every day that it feels harder than ever, and I know I’ve personally had to work harder and be more intentional than ever before.
So no, it’s not in your head if it’s feeling harder to get a post or podcast out. It’s not all mindset (but it also kind of is, lol).
What has changed are how we’re consuming marketing and what’s actually working now, and there are three key shifts I’m seeing.
That’s why I went live to get real about what’s actually making content marketing hard right now (and what to do about it).
I’m diving into what these three shifts are, and the number one reason content isn’t converting (that matters more now than ever). Along with the new kind of entitlement that’s showing up in audiences, and how this is causing many business owners to pull back and sabotage results without even realizing it.
