This client came to me with an already thriving therapy practice (such a great example that coaching is valuable at every stage of business and not only when we’re starting out or when we’re struggling!).
Her practice was already bringing in well above six-figures, but she was exhausted from it and also felt driven towards some more creative opportunities but didn’t have much time or ideas for how to grow them.
As a side note, I think what’s important to know our working relationship started with a FREE coaching session I donated for a charity cause. I know there can be SO MUCH resistance to giving away free sessions (because I hear it from clients all.the.time). There are stories that only beginner’s do this, people don’t value free, and they attract ‘freebie hunters’.
This is such a beautiful example that debunks all of these stories; I was already fully booked when I gave away this session and this particular client was definitely not a ‘freebie hunter’ and valued free enough to become a paying client for a year.
When we began working together, this client realized she had a lot of frustrations she wasn’t fully aware of. In her own words, she was completely burnt out and was working NONSTOP (working until 2 am after she put her son to bed to get work finished).
She didn’t have any systems in place and she was constantly feeling angry, anxious (internally), and secretly resentful about all the work she was doing.
IN ONE YEAR, THIS CLIENT:

💰Went from six-figures to a SEVEN-FIGURE REVENUE…most importantly by being an ethical business person that was able to provide affordable therapy services to hundreds of people a week while also paying her employees an above average rate so that they can have nice lives, too (important values for her).

🍾 relaunched her Masterclass program and had a $20k launch without it taking over her life. (If I remember correctly, she was literally on the beach for some of this launch.)
🙌🏻 learned how to turn clients into repeat clients.
🏖 bought a beach place with the money she was making from this ‘side business’.
📈 grew her Instagram has to 130,000+ followers in one year which she attributes to the way she was able to organize her life, stay focused, feel confident and stop the overwhelm.
👏🏻 grew her email list to 10,000 plus!
💰relaunched and repackaged a short course that sold $4k in ‘passive’ revenue. She then expanded this program into a larger course that’s now launched twice and generated $30k in sales and makes $500 a week in passive sales.
💡 leveraged her knowledge and launched a membership program with 300 members and $6k in sales (in one month) during the first launch! The second month she was able to add 100 people and turned it into an $8k/month of recurring income.
📚 was approached to publish a book and landed THREE publishing offers.
This is all in ONE YEAR. Imagine what’s possible for her this year!
THE BEST PART ABOUT ALL OF THESE RESULTS? This client stopped working late nights and is done at 2:30 in the AFTERNOON every day so she can pick up her little man from school.
She takes vacations for real (including a recent two-week vacation with her husband and son), and she continues to hire on support that allows her to keep her time as her own as she scales.
She’s less overwhelmed, working way less, and producing much more quality work.
She has better business boundaries and no longer feels like she has to react and respond to everything that lands in her inbox.
She’s stepped into her confidence and her results show it. She also feels great outsourcing things that aren’t in her ‘zone of genius’ so she can stay in her lane.

Ugh, tears. That’s what it’s all about, right? That’s why this work is about more than building, growing, and scaling a profitable business; it’s about building something we’re wildly in love with that positively impacts the people we serve.
And, that’s what I hope you’ll take from this case study. It’s so not about the money, it’s about loving your business and actually having the energy to show up for your people.
It’s about making the income that allows you to take care of yourself, hire support, live your life, and focus on the things that are important to you, like your family.
