Can you help someone have success when you’re not doing or selling the same thing?
Can someone who specializes in 1:1 business coaching really guide someone launching, selling out, and running group programs, masterminds, or courses?
While I’m the captain of Team Walk Your Talk and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, there’s also nuance to this concept when it comes to who you’re serving and the results they want.
But, this question brings up an important conversation we need to be having more of in our space around your sales process and navigating questions like this yourself.
In this episode, we unpack one of your questions You Asked, I Answered: ONE Question About Successfully Supporting Clients in Different Industries, Niches, & Biz Models.
Join the conversation to learn why I believe my 1:1 model isn’t all that relevant to supporting clients with different business models - and what IS relevant (and why this matters for your offers), how to think about and navigate asking questions on both the potential client and service provider side when starting a new working relationship, and an essential part of the sales process that supports client retention, word of mouth marketing, and more repeat buyers.
IN EPISODE 117, we jam on:
ONE Question I’m answering from a potential client around how I feel about supporting business owners who want to grow and scale a different business model than my 1:1-only approach – and why I applaud her for asking this question!
The “nice” way you might have been taught to buy as a potential client and why this isn’t beneficial for you or the seller - and an essential part of the sales process that supports client retention, word of mouth marketing, and more repeat buyers.
The narrative that often comes up on the sales side when someone isn’t an immediate “yes” and how this can be an opportunity that leads to a “hell yes” without regrets or asking for a refund.
My practical and unapologetic answer to this unapologetic question to illustrate why I have grounded confidence (versus puffed up, lip service) in my ability to meet different business owners in various industries, niches, levels of income, and with models and goals different than mine where they’re at and successfully support them to their version of success and my thought process behind this to help you see the applications for your own sales process or the support you seek.
My number one tip for when you don’t feel confident supporting someone with their goals and how to navigate this with integrity and use this as an opportunity to serve both parties.
Why I’ve continued to invest in 1:1 coaching, masterminds, and educational programs over the years even though I have a successful, booked out, multi-six-figure business and why this might be something for you to consider as you grow your business, success, and income as well.
