Business making you feel overwhelmed AF? Feel a little like you’re running on a hamster wheel to nowhere that won’t stop?
Here’s something I’ve learned about overwhelm in business (from personal experience on the Burnout Express and supporting so many clients to get off this runaway train): overwhelm usually has more to do with the noise in your head than it does with your neverending to-do list.
Something I’ve noticed in my own business and with clients is the amount of stress that’s created by overthinking every.damn.thing. And, that overthinking and overwhelm is costing your business money.
More importantly, it’s draining your energy. And, I don’t have to tell you, your energy as an entrepreneur is part of the life-force of your business, creativity, innovation, and leadership.
This means, unless you manage your mind that’s behind the overwhelm, all the time management hacks won’t solve FEELING overwhelmed.
After all, your thoughts created that to-do list that won’t quit. Your thinking and mindset sets your boundaries or asks for support.
An easy place to start? Get curious about why you’re choosing overwhelm. What does it allow you to escape or avoid? OR what do you believe you’ll get as a benefit of feeling this way?
I know it might not seem like you’re choosing to feel this way (because why would you?!), but keep asking yourself ‘why’ until you hit on a benefit. This is the reason you’re in overwhelm.
There’s a remarkable shift that happens when you tap into your self-trust and belief long enough to stop the motion of overthinking, and this same shift can be seen in your business day-to-day and your bottom line.
Because it’s pretty hard to sustain success and profitability when you’re looping around every decision. It’s tough to show up like a CEO who leads others when you don’t trust your thoughts. And, it’s tough to inspire action in others, when you’re second-guessing (more like quadruple-guessing) your ideas and everything you offer.
THIS is the mindset work to focus on so you can exchange your ticket for the Burnout Express for the Easy Train.
Want to make more money doing what you love, sustain that cashflow, and feel damn good while you’re at it? Do the work to manage your mind so you can stop overthinking in its tracks and turn it into self-trust instead.
Wishing you your version of success!
