“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future." -Steve Jobs
Last week, I talked about the power of being a beginner and adopting a beginner’s mindset.
(Missed it? You can catch it here.)
This week, I’m excited to share my own new beginning with you!
First, a heartfelt thank you for reading my blog. This work is my life’s passion, and I feel so lucky to be able to share it with you.
When I began my journey as a coach and entrepreneur, I wasn’t sure HOW I was going to do it. I just knew WHAT I wanted. Full of big dreams and even more determination, I flung myself into coaching and building a business.
It’s been quite a journey, and while I’ve only just begun to scratch the surface in the grand scheme of things, I’ve learned a whole lot along the way.
When I started, my business strategy of choice was the "spaghetti" method. You know, throw anything and everything at the wall and see what sticks. (I don't recommend it.)
The word “business” kind of gave me the icks. Coming from the entertainment world, “business” conjured images of ill-fitting, polyester suits, fluorescent lighting, and spreadsheets.
A lover of learning, I decided to push my fear of fluorescent lighting aside and enrolled myself in a business marketing class, and then another (no skirt suit required).
Turns out, my mom’s words of wisdom back in my college days (study business, you’ll love it and be great at it) were right…as always. I loved the courses and gobbled up the information.
Meanwhile, I was coaching more and more clients and a common thread was beginning to emerge. The clients who were coming to me were entrepreneurs or creatives who wanted to dive into the world of entrepreneurialism.
Without realizing it, I was creating my own coaching style, a mix of one part mindset coaching, one part business coaching, with a dash of strategy and accountability.
After hundreds of coaching sessions with some pretty incredible people, I’ve found “my tribe”, creative entrepreneurs (or people who secretly wanted to be!).
As a former actress, I get “artist brain” and the insecurities, fears, and constant stream of ideas that come with it and keep you up at night. I also understand what it’s like to be a solopreneur, start your own passion-driven business, and the ups and downs that come with it.
I've combined my years of coaching experience, background in psychology, business and marketing know-how, love of learning, and unique career history with my intuition and empathy to create my signature compassionate, yet strong, style of coaching.
As one client put it, “I think a VERY helpful part of our work was that you asked the right questions in the beginning. I started in one place and as you clarified we came to discuss what was actually the issue for me.”
Today, I’m stepping out to announce a change in the way I do coaching business.
I’m shifting gears to offer a blend of mindset, success, and business coaching geared toward the ambitious, creative entrepreneur who’s ready to get out of their own way and create a plan of inspired action to bring their business + life to the next level.
Does this sound like you or someone you know?
If so, I want to hear from you!
I’m opening up TWO coaching spots and offering a “New Beginnings” special of $50 off per month.
What does this mean moving forward?
I’ll still be dropping in every week. In addition to mindset tips and insights, you’ll begin to see more content geared toward the entrepreneur.
Thank you again for joining me every week. Wishing you your version of success!
