Wanna know one thing that’s allowed me to create my version of success, my way? 👉🏻 Being willing to fail forward and make mistakes.
Truth be told, I don’t really believe in mistakes or failing in the way we generally think about them. You only fail if you stop, and mistakes are evidence that you’re throwing yourself at what you want instead of sitting around on the sidelines waiting to be ready.
In fact, I’m grateful for the ‘mistakes’ I’ve made along the way. Every single one of them has been a beautiful opportunity for growth or given me an insight that’s contributed to my version of success I wouldn’t have otherwise. If I hadn’t made those so-called mistakes, I’m not sure I’d be where I am today. If I hadn’t been WILLING to make mistakes and fail forward, I FOR SURE wouldn’t be where I am today.
In a way, my mistakes and failures are some of the best things that happened in my business because they helped me find MY way to a sustainable, profitable business. After all, clarity comes through (often messy) action...not from overthinking and perfectionism.
Because it takes a certain mindset to be WILLING to make mistakes and fail. It takes a certain mindset to then learn from said mistakes and failures and go out, armed with that data, and do it again. 👉🏻 A failed business you see as anything but a failure becomes the business school you need to launch a new business that blows up and gives you epic success.
What does this mean for you?
If you want next-level, ‘overnight’ success, be willing to throw yourself at your business and make mistakes. Be willing to do what other people aren’t and be willing to ‘fail’. (This doesn’t mean you’re calling in mistakes or failures, btw.)
Start seeing your mistakes as catalysts for growth, and stop seeing failure as doing it wrong.
Remember the only way you truly fail is by quitting...the rest is failing forward and a necessary lesson in the business playbook.
Wishing you your version of success!
