Last week we talked about social media and our attitude towards it. this week, I'm staying digital and bringing you an awesome interview with branding and Pinterest expert Clare Drake.
If you've been curious about how to use Pinterest for more than hunting for inspirational quotes and wedding decor, this week's interview is for you!
I've got an awesome interview for you with Branding and Pinterest Expert Clare Drake. Clare helps ambitious, creative women master Pinterest so they can grow their community, business, blog, or personal brand, and she's sharing her expertise with us.
I'm really excited to share this one with you!
Pinterest is one of those platforms I've definitely lost hours to as I search for the perfect wardrobe rack for my one-closet, Manhattan apartment, but I haven't really delved into how to properly utilize it for my business. Talking with Clare was eye-opening (I gotta get on my Pinterest game!).
Pinterest has become Clare's number one source of traffic, and it grew her list to 1,000 people in about 4-5 months!
Clare's sharing some great insights as well as some tips on how to make Pinterest work for you.
She's also sharing some real-life behind-the-scenes of her business and some of what's gotten her to where she is today.
Like almost everyone I've interviewed and spoken with, the path to Clare's version of success wasn't a straight line because success isn't linear and neither is finding your passion.
Clare and I talk about:
{1:30} Pinterest's ability to maximize your visibility.
{2:38} Clare's version of success and what success means to her.
{6:12} the behind-the-scenes of Clare's business and how grit has played a role. Clare shares the process that led to her becoming a branding and Pinterest expert.
{8:32} Clare's words of wisdom about staying the course and not caring if other people don't get what you're doing.
{9:29} the importance of community and finding your people as an entrepreneur.
{11:59} Pinterest myths. Clare debunks a common Pinterest misconception.
{12:35} the main point of Pinterest.
{15:01} Clare explains long-form keywords (I had no idea what they were either).
{17:40} how Pinterest has benefited Clare and helped her drive traffic, grow her list, and build her business.
{18:40} what your number one goal on Pinterest should be. I bet it's not what you think!
{20:35} Clare explains looping pins.
{22:35} the one tip Clare would give someone starting out on Pinterest.
{26:27} Clare closes with image tips for Pinterest to maximize clickability!
So much good stuff! I can't wait to have you join us!
