What really goes into those "pop" moments and seemingly quick results?
It's rarely what it looks like on social media.
I would know because I'm behind the scenes with clients in the middle of this every day.
Take one of my clients, a seasoned coach with an incredible track record, who gets business and her role as CEO.
She's recently celebrated a $17k week, paid down debt, added $21k to savings, and before that $11,700 in two days. But on her way here, she forgot WTF she was, what she's actually capable of, and what brings in clients in her business. And that's been the real work behind the results.
This happens to so many talented coaches, therapists, and service providers, and not only because the industry seems to change faster than we can refresh our feeds.
It's not because you don't know your stuff. Business feels hard and confusing because juggling clients, a team, content, a saturated market, and life just lifing can leave you overwhelmed, running on fumes, and feeling like you've forgotten what works or just not trusting it or yourself anymore.
That's exactly where this client was, and it slowed down her momentum, her confidence, and her sales even though she’s excellent at what she does.
Fast forward less than six months and she's celebrating:
Fully booked two to three months in advance
$11,700 cash in two business days
Her first $10k+ cash month
Opening a waitlist
Surpassing ALL of last year's revenue
And since then she's gone on to celebrate a $17k week, paid down debt, and added $21k to savings.
And maybe best of all, she's messaged me in Basecamp more than once to say: "I'm SO back."
Here's what we actually did to help her remember WTF she is and feel SO back:
1. Updated her messaging to reflect her current work and speak to right-fit clients
Because this client had stepped back, there was an opportunity to reconnect with her audience about what they wanted to hear from her most right now, not a few years ago.
She wasn't getting noticed by the right people anymore. Not because her audience had disappeared, but because her words weren't reflecting who she actually is now and what she's best at.
We refined her messaging to highlight her thought leadership and speak directly to her best-fit clients, the ones who read it and think "OMG, that's me."
Clients started coming in. Including $11,700 cash in two business days. And now she regularly gets messages saying "Your content spoke directly to me. I know you're the right coach."
That's the difference between content that gets likes and content that books clients.
2. Refined her marketing strategy based on data and what comes easiest
Success leaves clues. Together, we dug into her marketing strategy and numbers to identify what was already working and in her wheelhouse to double down on, and what was just keeping her busy without moving the needle so she could pull back.
We also updated her client journey so she knows exactly how to fill and keep her pipeline full.
She already had warm people in her audience and knows how to sell. This combo helped pull them off the fence and gave her the steadiness and clarity that comes from knowing what to focus on to consistently bring in leads and clients.
3. An "I can handle it" mindset
This might not sound as sexy as "I'm a millionaire" affirmations, but so often this is the shift that actually changes the game.
Especially when you've had a challenging time, experienced burnout, or had your confidence rocked.
Hard seasons and burnout change how we show up, even when we think we've moved past them.
Because the body keeps score and so does your subconscious.
When your nervous system doesn't feel safe, you unconsciously hold back. You avoid visibility, showing up fully in your content, selling, and even booking and bringing on new clients. Your brain wants to keep your availability limited to feel protected and conserve energy.
This client had experienced burnout and was also navigating a health challenge. We worked together to build a more sustainable strategy and let "do less, better" actually work for her instead of just being a concept she nodded at.
We also worked to rebuild her trust in herself and in her business to support her, and her belief that she really can handle it when things get full or an influx of clients comes in.
This helped her stop shrinking and pushing away opportunities. She started leaning in, showing up differently, and attracting and allowing in more clients because they felt safe to take on.
On one of our calls she laughed and said, "Mindset and marketing really work."
They really do.
Here's my takeaway for you: this client didn't need a new offer, a viral post, or a complete rebrand. She didn't even need a new strategy.
She needed to trust herself and her business again, remember who she was, and have someone in her corner who could see it clearly and remind her when she couldn't see it herself.
She needed a strategic thought partner who knows her business well enough to look at the data, call out what doesn't sound like her anymore, and tell her what's actually worth her attention versus what's just noise.
I can only imagine if she'd been in a group program or mastermind during this season. She would've gotten a pile of well-meant ideas and strategies that would've kept her busy, overwhelmed, and frozen instead.
Because what gets any of us big results is our ability to remember WTF we are. To have enough clarity on what matters most and actually moves the needle. To trust ourselves and our business enough to want to get visible and bring on more clients.
And to have someone who can look at all the data and everything you could do and help you identify the right problem to solve and the right lever to press.
Your business, not the internet, some guru, or even your coach, will always give you the answers when you ask it the right questions.
And if you're ready for 1:1 support and partnership to help you stay in your lane, stay out of your own way, and get clear on the next best move for you and your business so you can also say "I'm SO back," I'd love to coach you.

I'm currently meeting with potential clients for a week-long strategy intensive or a six-month coaching spot opening up soon.
Here's to remembering WTF we are, making moves, and making money on our own terms.
P.S. Wherever you’re at on your business journey, I see you and celebrate you! And, if you’re ready for 1:1 support to grow to six and seven-figures, it would be my honor and privilege to coach you.
