Sometimes when you’re hitting an income ceiling, it has nothing to do with your strategy.
Or how much action you’re taking.
Or how big your audience is.
Or how spot on your content and messaging are.
Or your logo, or website.
Sometimes it’s because deep down, you secretly don’t want to make more money.
Before you stop reading because that sounds insane to you, hear me out on this one.
Sometimes, you’re not getting what you say you want, because you’re getting what you *actually* want.
And, sometimes while you might like the IDEA and concept of making more money, you might also believe receiving more money comes with baggage...like working more hours, more responsibility, higher tax bills, having to take care of others, a bigger spotlight and more attention, less fun, less enjoyment, disapproval from friends or family…
And, one thing I know for sure your brain is wired to help you get what you *actually* want
and, it will do everything in its power (which is a whole lot, it runs the show) to make that happen.
So, if you’re hitting an income ceiling, check in with your thinking.
What are you worried will happen if you make more money?
What are you afraid will come with more money?
What stories do you have about hitting the next income level?
Where might a new story and thinking help your brain help you bust through that income ceiling?
Want my favorite way to stretch past your current income ceiling and the amount of money you’re making?
Instead of simply obsessing over an amount of money you want to make and don’t have, try getting clear and specific about WHY you want that money and what you’ll use it for.
Most people throw out an arbitrary number they want to make because they heard it online somewhere. But, here’s the deal with money and manifesting: money loves a purpose. Money loves a container. Money loves some specificity.
And, your brain also snaps into focus and notices opportunities in a whole new way when it knows *exactly* what you want...and this clarity of focus is an important ingredient in manifesting and managing your mind to help it, help you.
Ever notice how you ALWAYS figure out a way to pay for an unexpected expense?
That’s your brain working for you to help you create an amount of money you gave a purpose.
Instead of waiting for unexpected bills to jolt you into making more money, you can use this idea to help you intentionally bring in and manifest more cash.
Try this (it’s one of my favorite money exercises): grab yourself a sheet of paper and get clear on what you want that money for and where it will go. Down to the dollar.
This simple exercise gives your brain a ‘container’ and purpose for the money you want to make, which will allow your brain to get on board and start working for you to help you bring in more cash.
Let me know if you try this, and wishing you your version of success!
