When you downplay your personal and client results, youâre not only hiding in plain sight and sabotaging your business success, youâre also out of congruence.
And, you want to know what people are looking for, without even knowing it, before they buy?
That whole know, like, and trust thing is about congruence. Especially in the online space where anyone can slap together a website, call themselves an âexpertâ, and put a price tag next to it.
Your people are looking to see, are you who you say you are? Does what you preach match up with what you sell? And are your results in line with what you offer?
And while they might be pleasantly surprised to find out youâre better than you say you are...itâs a long walk for most people to figure that out...and that lack of congruence still ends up breaking down some of our trust because it doesnât match up.
I mean, if youâre the bomb.com at what you do and not sharing it with the world, thatâs JUST as inauthentic as lying about your background, not sharing the truth behind-the-scenes, or inflating your results.
It works both ways.
So, stop leaning on âauthenticityâ and âvulnerabilityâ as a cop-out for not owning your brilliance or taking up space like a boss.
Itâs not just about vulnerably sharing all the hard shit or dark times as a way to âconnectâ.
And, itâs not only about authentically letting people know youâve been there, too.
BOTH are beautiful and important, but itâs inauthentic and, frankly, playing small to stop here.
It also does a massive disservice to your people because you meet them where theyâre at without throwing the life raft youâre holding in your hands on dry land.
Share the truth, be vulnerable, authentic (always), AND remember sharing the good stuff, standing in your power, and owning your awesome-sauce is a part of this.
If taking up space, playing bigger, and publicly owning your awesome-sauce feels yucky, try this reframe: itâs yucky NOT to, and youâll be showing up in integrity and rocking some congruence (which builds trust) every time you show up fully with all you have to offer.
Wishing you your version of success!
