Thank You & A Year in Review

"And suddenly you know...it's time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings." -Meister Eckhart

The end of December always seems to go by in a flurry of activity. Holiday shopping, parties, and travel…before we know it, it’s New Year’s Eve and it’s time for another party and resolutions to do better.

If you’ve been hanging out with me for a little while, you know I love goal-setting. This always begins with reviewing, reflecting, and celebrating.

So you better believe I’ve been taking some time this month to review 2017.

In honor of all this reflection, I want to take a moment to slow down and reflect now on what a year we’ve all had!

Think back to this time last year and all the growth you’ve had from then to now. What are the wins (small + big) you have to celebrate?

If 2017 felt like one challenge after another, I’m over here celebrating you, because we can’t grow without a little resistance.

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know and support some of you in your businesses and lives, and it’s been so awesome to watch you kick some major ass, get more confident, and step into who it is you truly are and own what you want.

As for me? This year, I got more clear on who I serve and how I can help. My business grew, and I was lucky to work with some absolutely remarkable people.

Personally, I walked my talk, upped my game, and came up against my edge more than once.

I stepped outside my comfort zone and started doing weekly live videos along with this blog (I love doing the lives now, btw, but they still make me sweat!).

I also tried a few things in my business I'm grateful to for the experience but happy to leave behind!

Whether we just met or you’ve been hanging out with me from the start, I’m so very grateful to have you along for the ride. This work is my life’s passion, and I couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you for being here, reading my words, commenting, connecting, and sharing your ahas and wins with me. You’re amazing, and I consider myself fortunate to be able to share my work with you.

I’m shutting down shop (er, my laptop) until the new year (I’ll still be poking around in my FB group and on Instagram).

To wrap this holiday season up in a giant metaphorical bow, I’d like to flashback to some of what were (apparently) the favorite blog posts and freebies of the year, in case you missed any of them.

Freebies:

3-Day Mindset Makeover Challenge

It’s been said that entrepreneurial and creative success is 80% mindset and 20% mechanics. In this free challenge, we're diving into how our mindset affects our happiness and success, a common mindset block for creatives and entrepreneurs, and an easy tool to help shift our mindset. You can join the free challenge here!

Hashtags for Instagram Cheat Sheet

Who knew I’d be so excited to talk about hashtags! In this guide, I’m sharing the what, why, and how of hashtags for Instagram. I included a bonus roundup of over 200 of my favorite hashtags for entrepreneurs, creatives, and coaches. You can access the cheat sheet here!

Fav Blogs of 2017 (in case you missed them):

Get Unbalanced: Most of the things we want and crave the most in life require a little unbalanced action. Here's my truth: I'm not so sure I want to be balanced.

The Art of Rejection: To build the lives we want and dream of, we have to be willing to risk rejection.

5 Reasons You Shouldn’t Turn Your Passion Into A Business: I sincerely believe our dreams aren't random, and we can all create the life we want. But that doesn't mean that every single thing we love should be turned into something we pursue for profit. I love to sing, but no one should ever pay me for it. Ever.

Your Success Isn’t About You: When we begin to rewrite our own story, play full out, and unlock what’s possible, we not only change our personal reality, we cause a shift in the status quo.

Why You Should Be A Beginner: There is power and massive room for growth when we embrace being a beginner. Even for the experts out there, adopting a beginner mindset can shed new light and life into your work.

The Truth About Passion No One Wants to Admit: The idea that our passions and purpose will suddenly fill our lives with magical fairy dust, leaving everything we touch gilded, is making even the most purpose-driven of us second guess ourselves and wonder if we’ve misstepped and gotten it all wrong.

When Self-Care Is Really Self-Sabotage: This is about those times we think we're practicing self-care but are really self-sabotaging in disguise. When self-care goes wrong…

Are you Busy? Busyness is bringing a slow death to our progress, dreams, passions, and relationships as it sucks out the air in the room, leaving us suffocating in the corner clutching our to-do list.

What Trapeze Taught Me About Business And Life: I didn’t expect the number of business and life lessons trapeze would teach me about letting go and taking the leap.

Are You Secretly Hoping You’ll Fail? While we might be more familiar with fear of failure, fear of success is actually pretty common. It's a sneaky one that will hold us back and keep us hiding out in our comfort zone.

When It’s More Than The Blues: I stepped away from the business-y, entrepreneurial, success stuff to share my experience with depression for anyone who might need to hear it <3.

Thank you again for being a part of my world and playing every week. I’m looking forward to hanging, learning, and growing with you in 2018!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday and happy new year!

With love and gratitude,
