Hey there! I'm Kim!
I'm a coach, writer, and creative entrepreneur on a mission to help you unlock your version of success.
It's my passion to help you see what's possible and make it happen.
I help ambitious, creative entrepreneurs (or creatives dreaming of starting their own business) get clear on their vision, get out of their own way, and create a plan of inspired action to bring their business + life to the next level.
I've combined my years of coaching experience, background in psychology, business and marketing know-how, love of learning, and unique career history with my intuition and empathy to create my signature compassionate, yet strong, style of coaching.
I'm passionate about what I do, and I literally do a happy dance when my clients have breakthroughs, “ah-has”, make life-lasting changes, and reach their goals.
What I believe:
I don't believe in a one-size-fits all version of success. I don't think any of us got into the business of being in business only to be a carbon copy of someone else.
I believe success comes in all shapes and sizes, and we all have our own unique version of success that fulfills us.
Striving to fit inside someone else's mold for success will only leave us feeling suffocated.
I believe the more we lean into who it is we are and what it is we truly want, the more we shine and find happiness in our day to day instead of waiting for the elusive "when".
I also believe our mindset is the foundation for everything we do. I’m obsessed with studying successful folks, and I've learned they share similar habits and mindsets. As Tony Robbins says, "Success leaves clues."
Without a strong, "success mindset" all the strategies in the world won't get you anywhere -you'll self-sabotage your progress before you even start. That being said, we can't exist solely in our minds. That's called daydreaming.
I believe in creating a success mindset and then going out and happening purposefully to life - taking specific and inspired action.
I believe success (however you define it) is created from a having a clear vision, strategy, focus, action, grit, consistency, positive habits, and a very specific mindset.
I work with you to create the mindset and strategy that breeds your version of success and hold you accountable to your vision.
I believe our dreams aren't random, and we can all create the business + life we want.
Are you ready for more in your business + life?
Are you ready for the next step?
How did I end up Here?
For as long as I can remember I've had the desire to motivate and lift others up. I've also always been fascinated with how the mind works and what makes people thrive.
A hustler at heart, I graduated college in three years with a degree in psychology, but I dreamt of being on the big screen. I've always believed our dreams aren't random, so it was off to Los Angeles for me. I spent a decade chasing my passion of acting, until it left me feeling empty and purposeless. My right-brain was lonely, and my left-brain was itching to be part of the party again.
Determined to find my version of success, I picked up and started over in New York City.
I spent a few years searching. I spent a short stint working for a matchmaker, an architect, in real estate, and some time as an agent in advertising. I also cried. A lot.
Meanwhile, I was taking a life coaching program on the side, coaching friends, listening to any self-development book I could get my hands on (seriously, I've read them all), and reading about how the brain works and positive psychology for fun (doesn't everyone do that?!).
A tearful ride home on the subway after a work event one night, led to my lightbulb moment: not only did I love coaching and everything self-development related, but I had also been unknowingly coaching people my entire life.
So, I did what any "rational" thirty-something would do and set out to start my own business.
Mind you, when I began my journey as a coach and entrepreneur, I wasn’t sure HOW I was going to do it. I just knew WHAT I wanted.
Full of big dreams and even more determination, I flung myself into coaching and building a business.
When I started, my business strategy of choice was the "spaghetti" method. You know, throw anything and everything at the wall and see what sticks. (I don't recommend it.)
At the time, the word “business” kind of gave me the icks. Coming from the entertainment world, “business” conjured images of ill-fitting, polyester suits, fluorescent lighting, and spreadsheets. A lover of learning, I decided to push my fear of fluorescent lighting aside and enrolled myself in a business marketing class, and then another (no skirt suit required).
Turns out, my mom’s words of wisdom back in my college days (study business, you’ll love it and be great at it) were right…as always. I loved the courses and gobbled up the information.
Meanwhile, I was coaching more and more clients and a common thread was beginning to emerge. The clients who were coming to me were entrepreneurs or creatives who wanted to dive into the world of entrepreneurialism.
Without realizing it, I was creating my own coaching style, a mix of one part mindset coaching, one part business coaching, with a dash of strategy and accountability.
After hundreds of coaching sessions with some pretty incredible people, I found “my tribe”, ambitious and creative entrepreneurs (or people who secretly want to be!).
As a former actress, I get “artist brain” and the insecurities, fears, and constant stream of ideas that come with it and keep you up at night. I also understand what it’s like to be a solopreneur, start your own passion-driven business, and the ups and downs that come with it.
Which brings me to today. I've found my place helping ambitious, creative entrepreneurs expand and sharpen their vision, get out of their own way, and take inspired action to bring their business + life to the next level.
I absolutely love what I do, and I would love to be a part of your journey.
Are you ready to discover what's possible?
I've been around the coaching block.
I spent a year in an immersive coach training program, and I successfully coached over 100 sessions before I launched my first coaching program. I also have a degree in psychology from the University of Miami (any Canes out there?) and graduated in 3 years at the top of my class (magna cum laude for those of you who care). This started my love for the science behind our emotions, mindset, and behaviors.
I've been featured as an expert and coach on Today I'm Brave, The TUT Blog, The Change Blog, Her Agenda, Folioh Port, The Ladies Coach as well as numerous coaches' podcasts, webinars, and interviews.
As a student of life, I'm obsessed with learning, which means continually educating myself through new courses, books, and seminars to strengthen and expand my coaching tools and skills.
I walk my talk and work with my own coach. I believe in the power of coaching!
